It is no secret now that the "Big Three" are no longer writting Home Owners Insurance in Florida. Allstate, Nationwide, and State Farm, have all stopped writting new Home Policies in Florida. All 3 companies have "maintained" what they each feel is a comfortable level of property to maintain. All of our carriers have taken minimal Premium increases. State Farm has increased their premiums on Florida homeowners significantly. In many cases we have seen policy premiums nearly double in cost over that last couple years. Today, we are writting a policy for John L. who has been with State Farm for over 20 years. His renewal for 2012 was $3,469.56/yr on a $314,000 dwelling amount. He had his 2 autos with them as well for a premium of $1,320.52/yr. Total Premium with State Farm was $4790.08. His renewal premium with AAA Insurance ( yes, the Road Side Service Company) is $3,312.24. Total Savings $1,477.84. Keep in mind that his trusted State Farm Agent didn’t include Un-insured Motorist Coverage and included a deductible on his PIP Coverage. We will talk about the importance of thsoe coverages on a seperate title page. Its is worth mentioning however that Uninsured Motorist Coverage is HIGHLY Recommended. It is not recommended to take a deductible onyour PIP. His new policy has broader coverage for much less premium. Thank You John for your business!!
